Growing up with parents who are were accomplished musicians, Nick was destined to have a future in music. At a young age Nick was raised listening to the classics such as Prince, Marvin Gaye, Al Green and Jimi Hendrix.
Shortly after graduating high school he bought a set of turntables and began playing house parties for friends. People immediately took a notice to his creative open format style and began hiring him to dj. Nick paid his way through business school playing at the best nightclubs and hottest parties in Portland Oregon such as Vault Martini, Aura Nightclub, Couture Ultra Lounge, East Chinatown Lounge and The Agency. Soon after graduating from college Nick decided to make dj’ing his career and was immediately working with corporate clients such as Nike, Wieden & Kennedy, Make A Wish Foundation, Frye Family Foundation and Adidas.
In 2012 Nick Dean was one of the few Portland dj’s hand selected to compete in the Red Bull 3Style competition, the largest and most reputable dj battle in the world.
Late 2012 Nick was traveling so much outside of Portland he decided it was time to move to a bigger market. Soon after he relocated to NYC and was signed with Scratch Academy. He has since been regularly booked as celebrity guest dj on Royal Caribbean and Disney Cruise Lines, touring the Bahamas, Caribbean and Europe.
In 2013 Nick partnered with Dash Entertainment, a multifaceted entertainment company. Nick currently manages Dash Entertainment operations in NYC.
