Dash Dance Crew

Founded in 2006, Dash Dance Crew creates multimedia urban dance performances that incorporate breakdancing, locking, popping, krumping, DJ’s, MC’s, spoken word, poetry, theater, graffiti art, and film into hand-clapping, foot-stomping performances. Frequently collaborating with artists from these varied genres, they manipulate the traditions of street dance and hip hop culture to create and urban hybrid of moving visual metaphors.

Dash Dance Crew has been featured at the Ford Amphitheater, the El Portal Theater, the REDCAT, the Skirball Cultural Center, the Esalen International Arts Festival, World of Dance, the Pasadena Dance Festival, Dancing in the Margins Festival, B-Girl Be Festival, the LA Women’s Theater Festival, and the LA County Holiday Celebration at the Music Center, amongst many others. They regularly participate in community workshops, panel discussions, and lecture/demonstrations.
